Children’s Rally, Sukkos 5741 - 1980
Children’s Rally, Sukkos 5741 - 1980

Before Pesach 5740 (1980), the Rebbe launched a campaign to engage Jewish boys and girls everywhere. After several successful initiatives over the summer, the Rebbe asked that three rallies be held for children the world over during the Tishrei holidays.

In 770, the Rebbe joined the final rally and addressed the children, launching a bold, new initiative. He asked that Jewish children be united in a single organization called “Tzivos Hashem,” telling the children that they were front-line soldiers in G-d’s battle against their own Evil Inclination.

This was the founding of Tzivos Hashem.
