The Chanukah customs have a unique component: We add one light to the
Menorah each night. Yet, on the eighth night, we cease to add, waiting an
entire year to kindle the Menorah once again.
On the final night of Chanukah, the Rebbe asks: Is the full Menorah an
expression of weakness, or perhaps an indication of its potency?
Each component of the gathering – Chanukah, the day of the week, the Torah
portion, as well as the daily study of Maimonides, become powerful messages and
important life lessons.
Children’s Rally with
Throughout the years of his
leadership, and especially after his launch of the Tzivos Hashem International
Children’s Club in 1980, the Rebbe devoted a huge amount of his attention, time
and energy toward children.
Children are not only the future
of our people, the Rebbe explained, they are its today.
